RoadLy ("we", "our", "us") is an Irish platform that helps Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) manage their bookings, schedules, students, and payments. Our websites are roadly.ie (marketing) and app.roadly.ie (the platform).

- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and role (instructor or learner).
- Instructor details: ADI number, business name, service area, and availability.
- Learner details: Contact information and lesson booking history.
- Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and device/browser information, collected to improve our service.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the RoadLy platform.
- To process lesson bookings and payments.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and important account notifications.
- To improve our services and user experience.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Stripe: For secure payment processing.
- Instructors/Learners: Booking details are shared between the relevant instructor and learner to facilitate lessons.
- Service providers: Email and SMS delivery services (e.g., Twilio, Nodemailer) used for notifications.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (JWT), and secure payment processing through Stripe. Your data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
- Data portability.
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (DPC) in Ireland.
7. Cookies
RoadLy uses essential cookies required for the platform to function (e.g., authentication tokens). With your consent we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used; you can accept or reject this in the cookie banner and can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
